The Collection of Evelyn Meyer

 

Collecting folk art for 20 years, Evelyn lovely Penthouse home in Westwood is filled from ceiling to floor, from room to room with treasures worth exploring. Evelyn has generously donated parts of her collections to museums across the US in such noted museums as the Intuit Museum, Chicago; Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe; Menello Museum in Florida; University of Memphis; and the American Folk Art Museum, NYC, where she was highly active before moving to Los Angeles.  She is currently on the Exhibitions Committee for the Craft and Folk Art Museum here in Los Angeles.  An article about Evelyn’s collection can be read in the Folk Art Messenger published by the Folk Art Society, Richmond, Virginia www.folkart.org.  She is also a working artist who mentors art students.
