"Defining Chicano Art"

Presentation by Chon Noriega

Chon Noriega is Professor of Film, Television and Digital Media and Director of the Chicano Studies Research Center at UCLA. He is author of eight books, including "I, Carmelita Tropicana: Performing Between Cultures. Noriega has curated numerous media and visual arts projects, and is a co-curator of the upcoming exhibition at LACMA, "Phantom Sightings: Art After the Chicano Movement," opening in April 2008.

Professor Noriega will talk for about 40 minutes, with power point presentation, followed by Q&A.
