Opening Night Reception: Saturday, April 13 from 7-10 pm

The Avenue 50 Studio is proud to present a two-person exhibition with LA Chicano artists Oscar Magallanes and Ricardo Estrada.  Reception for the artists will take place, Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 7-10 pm.

Oscar Magallanes:  Oscar's recent work is an ongoing series of portraits that serves as a mapping of the artist's own psyche through his cultural, historical and political influences. This series of portraits, titled "Heuristic" (meaning, procedure for achieving solution) also serves as an exploration of the make up of popular culture and movements.

Artist, Ricardo Estrada, paints portraits of the downtrodden, immigrants, friends, and family.  This humanist artist portrays his subjects with honorable and distinguished pride.

Please join us as we open the doors for our month-long exhibition of NEW WORKS by Oscar Magallanes and Ricardo Estrada.
